ok i want to get either an 1994/5 RX-7 or the newest year supra.
i have the money for both of them but i dont want to buy both because one of them will be the daily driver to school and work. but i want to make a nissan 240sx s15 conversion and make it into a drift car. but if i have money left over i might tune up the daily driver and maybe take it to the drag. give an honest opion i know im putting this into the mazda section but im going to but one of these like this one into the toyato section

sounds like some BS to me... you'll need like 30 grand to buy both of those cars, and if you want a 240 with a full S15 conversion thats crazy expensive too... you said you need it to go to school and work, most people in school don't have 30 grand to dump on 2 cars... but whatever... just buy a porsche or something and you'll have a nice fast car that you can always depend on

get the 240 to daily and then mod the rx7. if you're dead set on dailying the sports car, get the supra b/c it will last longer. but if you really have the cash to spend it, a properly modded FD will totally whoop ass on a comparably modded supra.

I like the RX-7, but that's because they're cheeper(used), but yeah if you can afford a Supra go for it. I wouldn't but the 240SX either it would be to much for the conversion, and they're becomeing the "new Honda" so I think you should just buy the Supra and get some mods for it and if you really want a project car buy a cheep one and don't rice-out the supra either.

We all just wish we could afford a Supra. I would choose a Supra if I had the money. RX-7 is just a car for the poor people.

so that's why a 350hp FD is side by side with a 500hp supra in the straights??? it seems most of the people here only think of performance as a straight line game. real roads have curves and real drivers like curves. but anyway, the supra weighs a lot more, has worse weight distribution, etc... the supra is also much more reliable than the FD. anyway, if i've just got stupid shit coming out of my mouth, then D3rELic, prove me wrong.

u are right, i exagerated a bit, but its by far way easier to get in the 5xx-6xx hp range with a supra than it is with an FD3S
and the supra engine have been proven to be able to take over 1000 hp on stock internals, i wonder if a street driven 20b could even make that.
the supra engine is just outstanding compared to any rotary engine ever made.

well if you are just talking pure engine then this would be a great arguement, but the car altogether is like 600lbs heavier than the FD and the suspension is much better stock and it will handle much better with equal mods to the supra suspension
but I just think people need to learn how to pick out their own cars instead of asking for someone else to tell them what to do

once again we got another "dyno>>speed/performance" believer. its not always about hp, supras are just dyno whores. not to say they arent fast but the next person i hear say something about a 1000hp supra is gettin his neck spit on. i dunno how many times its been proven over and over to noobs that a dyno whore doesnt beat actual performance. yes its easier to put a mkIV into the 500s but thats only half the equation. i dont know if uve seen the BMI with the Mine's GTR vs (?) MkIV but the supra made more power and the GTR killed it on the track. reason being that Mine's properly tuned the 34 with excellent response vs the supra that was tuned like most of u ppl would, to get big dyno numbers. thats not saying the supra wasnt tuned for the track also (suspension, tranny, tires etc) but couldnt hold a candle to its counterpart on the track because of it.
thats just one example that i figured at least most of u would remember but i may be wrong. ive seen a number of times more powerful supras lose to less powerful cars, like a WS6. mostly it got chalked up to be a crappy supra driver but that couldnt have been the case every single time. with the way ppl are tuning supras they are becoming like 'stang hp in the sense that its overrated and ineffecient. 350hp rx7>>>350-4??hp supra. FACT!
and with the "supra engine is more outstanding then any rotary" comment, im very curious as to how u perceive an engine to be "outstanding" because to most of the automotive world a rotary engine is very outstanding in every since of the word. this has been quoted many times over by automotive/mechanical engineers, the ppl whose opinion counts the most in this aspect. i dont even need to say how much more sophisticated yet simplistic a rotary is vs a run of mill I6 design thats more than a 100yrs old *chuckles* wow, another I6 TT engine. how outstanding!!! its never been done b4, how revolutionary!!!! /sarcasm

we are talking high horsepower daily driver that doesn't need a rebuild very often, thats the supra, cuz a high horsepower 7 will need to be ported and that makes rebuilds come sooner
and Toyota made the Supra engines very strong and reliable so thats why we talk them up
