Anything wrong with Mechanical boost control?

I am going to be needing a boost controller, but dont want to drop $300+ for a good Electronic one. The only reason I dont go electronic now is because I plan on getting DSMlink and Spending $300+ seems pointless if I am getting DSMlink in a a few months. Anyways, can anyone recommend a good boost controller, I was loking at the dejontool ones, but dont know if one is better than the other...

Also, is there a downside to Mechanical Boost Controller, are they accurate and efficient, or are they just inconvinient and hard to use?

Thanks.

theyre easier to use but you do have to stop and adjust it outside. dsmlink doesnt have in boost controller in it btw. one advantage of electronic boost controllers is being able to have different setting that you can jump between easily. but they take longer to set up then a mechanical one

Joe P and Halman seem to be best. Turbo XS almost always give excesive spike on 16g and smaller turbos. I used to run a Profec B, which was very convienent, but wouldnt go over 26 psi no matter what I did. The Joe P I use now is fine, just a pain in the ass to get out of the car and adjust. But its been rock solid up to 30 psi so far.
