Which Mount Kit

Ok, time to get a mount kit for the b16a. I was gonna get the HASport, but the guy who was selling it was weird, so I passed. Anyway, I can get a good price on some HCP mounts - anyone have any comments on those? How about the Place Racing ones? I noticed the HCP kit has 4 mounts - is that a good or bad thing? Also I can get the HCP linkage for 75 bucks, or the HASport for 150 - is this a "you get what you pay for" thing, or is HASport really just expensive for not enough reason. Any feedback on any of these kits is appreciated. Later.

Well i got HCP mounts for my rex. I haven't installed it yet though. I heard alot of good shit about them though. Hasport is good also. The thing is with HCP mounts sets ur engine lower. Also it has much more room on the engine bay....hasport makes it look compact altogether? I heard some good and bad for place racing. Just get the HCP ..its cheaper. I don't know about the HCP shift linkages...i dont have one. I was thinking of customizing mine.

I'm kind of worried about the setting the engine lower - I dont wanna be scraping my headers and shit all the time. My car is lowered (not slammed), so sometimes its an issue.

Well if its not slammed then u have nothing to worry about. My car is dropped i think 2.0 in the front and 1.8 in the back..or is it the other way around. Well anyways i've been told that i have nothing to worry about?

They usually go for like...420 shipped? I bought mine for 350 shipped without the shift linkage though? You can find cheap ass ones on www.thepartstrader.com They usually always have them!:)

theres a guy on another board selling the HCP kit, with linkage, for 410 shipped

yeah, there's a guy who has an ad on thepartstrader for the hasport mounts for 375 shipped, but he says he also sells hcp for 325 and place racing for 375. he has shift linkages for 75 for the hcp and 150 for the hasport.

Sounds like a good price on all of them. The shift lingkage killed me though...not enough money:( So i figured i'd custom my linkage.:)

can you post a link to the ad?? use escrow, then youre safe...they dont send him the $$ until you tell them the parts are ok...

Yeah, I got my mounts and linkage from this guy's shop. He has good service and everything came intact. I was sort of skeptical to begin with but it turned out to be a good deal.:)

i've got the place racing mounts in my crx, my friend had the hasports in his rex. we both had the B16 in our cars......the engines look to be in about the same position....the place might set it a little high...but, i would have to say that the mounts live up to their name. they feel like race mounts, cuz they rattle the hole car a idle....i kind of like it....but, it's definitely not for everyone.....they look nice (electron bluish..), and they are real sturdy....something like 450 for the the 3 mounts.

I ended up getting the HASport because the place I got my engine from (hondamotorsonline) sold them to me for 350, which is the best price I've seen on them. They are supposed to be the best, and it scares me that I dont see many vendors carrying the HCP. I'll let you guys know on the service I get and how my swap works out when its all done. Hopefully the engine is here sometime next week, and the swap hopefully gets done on the weekend. Thanks for your input everyone, I appreciate it! btw, I got the lsd equipped tranny, hope its worth it.

Hasport....:D The mounts are very strong considering they just released the new billet kit.:)

You can use any b-series mounts.
