my 98 S10 has a major door problem. when im driving at all speeds the door shakes, it is hard to explain but is like the door really isnt sitting right. it leaks when it rains towards the front of the door by the windshield and you can hear air comming in. i replaced weather stripping adn door latches but it still does this it is very annoying............also my passenger power window when i roll it down it doesnt go up correctly, it starts to go up croked...if that makes sense, how do i fix these problems, i know how to take the door panels off and i can do simple things but i cant figures these problems out. thanks

Lets start with the door.Check your door hinge bushings.Open the door a little and pick up on the back of it.Is there any play(up and down)? If thats not the problem check the window frame.Take a dollar bill and lay it on the weatherstrip where you think it is leaking.Shut the door on it.Now pull the dollar out.Did it come out easy or hard?If it came out with hardly any pulling then your window frame is bent. Here is how to fix that.Open door.Wind window down.Put your leg at the bottom towards the rear of the door.Grab the top towards the back of the door. Now pull in.Do this untill the window frame fits snug against the weatherstripe.Wind window up and your done. Now your passenger window.Pull inner panel and check the rivets that hold the window regulator assembly on.If rivets are loose.Drill them out and replace with nuts and bolts.Keep the bolts short so they don't hit the regulator. Also check and make sure that the nuts that hold the window to the regulator are tight.(10mm).Good luck.

Ah you should've said 3rd door. You will have to take out the catch on the 3rd door(where your drivers door latches to the 3rd door). When the catch is out you will have to file the holes inward(about a quarter inch).Reinstall catch and push it in where you filed the holes inward. This will tighten up your door.Be sure to check your drivers door pins and bushings also.As explained in my first reply.
