ok, i just got my car back from the shop after having the power steering pump replaced, only to find that they did Not put in the variable effort steering which was removed. So, the road feel, which was the ONLY thing i liked about this car is now gone. I called the shop and they told me my options code list called for non-variable, i looked on the list, finding a code N40 which according to this list i found online, does call for the non-variable. Does anybody know if this is correct? N40 being non - variable, also why would my options list have n40 instead of N41 for variable (i have pretty all options offered in 94 on my car).
My car is a GT so i dont know why they didnt use common sense and use the right one, but now my car drives like some kind of camary or buick or something with waaay over assisted steering.

also--the more i thought about it the more concerned i have become. will not having the variable effort pump affect any other steering components like the rack which were designed for a variable effort pump. If i had it my way the i would just have the problem corrected, but the shop refuses to do anythign about it and i just shelled out my last $300 to them. im so not happy about this
