I have a 2002 Ram 2500, HO Diesel that is doing some real neat but annoying stuff. I run a Cobra CB in the truck and for two years have not had any trouble. I resently had the Lamp Out to start buzzing and the notification lamp would go on & off as I drove down the road. No bulbs was found to be burned out. After pulling the taillights out and inspecting them this trouble was solved. BUT now I get a noise periodically comming from the truck and audable in the CB. The noise was also noticed today when I was in my office talking on the phone, yes it came through the phone, and the truck is parked, not running, key Off, outside about 30 feet away. This noise is like a morse code being sent and only last a few seconds. It has the same pattern each time kinda like .-.-.-.-.-.- I have called the Dodge house and they have no idea. I called the CB shop and the man said he had a problem with a big rig doing the same thing and he thought it was the computer cycling through the codes, even with the vehicle Off. So I am at a lose and cannot get the truck into the shop for some time.
Has anyone had this type of issue?

It could be the radio, I'd try swapping the CB out for another, and see if the problem goes away.

I thought the same thing so I turned the CB off and carried my hand held CB in the truck, sure enough the noise was heard on the hand held unit. I now know without a dought that it is the truck's computer sending the noise. The dealer wants me to bring it in for them to check out so guess I will do that as soon as I get a chance.

Demonstrating it to the dealer would be a definite good thing. Be interested to see what it was.
