1993 325ic trip computer really dim

I have a 1993 BMW 325ic that I bought new. The trip computer went really dim last year. In the sun you can not see it at all. In the shade you can make out the numbers but I don,t think the numbers are light.
Are their and fuses or blubs that I can replace? Dave

hate to tell you but you have to change your whole cluster

This has to be the bulb which sits on the side of the unit.Its not the bulb at the back but at the side . You need a pair of thinb nosed pliers to extract it.

can this be done on a 93 325i? because the dealer told me i need a new cluster, every thing works fine but it lights very dim, and some times light gets bright if i tap the dash.

Mine used to get back to bright sometimes but not lately. All the numbers diietch are dim. I tried to look for a whole cluster at bavauto.com but I could not find it there. Did I miss it? Dave

smudger1767 they do have them you should call them they even have the white face blue glow ones i think they were going for $199
