Hi,

Here again, my GAM, is not starting, when try to start, the engine runs for couple of minutes, the RPM oscillates in the "PARK" postion between 1000 and 1500. Then every thing goes down. The engine was vibrating a lot. I noticed, the Battery, Check engine and Engine oil pressure indicator was ON.

Kept the engine, for a while in the off position, again same problem, after 4 or 5 tries, the engine was running, but when I press gas, there was that massive vibration in the engine and just stalled in the middle of the road. Same indicators were on.

Just 15 days back, changed,

All 6 Sparkplugs and cabels.

Last Thursday Changed

Intake Gasket, Waterpump and Thermostat. (On these I have spend so far $850)

Any idea what could be the reason? I am having so much of trouble with this car, really fed up with General Motors.

Its a 97 Grand AM, V6 engine SE model.

Any one please help me.

Here you guys, today for no reason, my car started just fine. All the indicator got reset automatically.

Mechanic got so confused, how this happend, after almost 4 hours of diagnosis, he could not find any problem with the car either in its computer or in Engine.

Possible assumption he gave was, high electro magnetic or High intensity Micropower (either Magnetic or electro static) power might have caused my car's computer to shutdown. (it seems, this could happen in older cars).

But everything seems working fine (crossing my fingers).

FYI.

If it happens again, and it probably will, suspect the ignition cell, coil pack, or crank sensor. I'll place bets on the ignition cell.
