ROAR! (i love it--but what is it?)

what is the source of the loud "roar"-type sound when you start the truck? it's the sound that dissapates in about 10 seconds. it usually winds down when i'm pulling out of the parking lot. it sounds like the engine's fan/blowers work harder for a couple of seconds, but it only happens from a fresh start.

From what you describe, it sounds like your clutch fan. They are very noticeable when your truck is cold. Enjoy!!
