Crank seal

Apparently, the crank seal is leaking on the in-laws 2000 Ford Taurus SE and they're looking my way for help.
I'm not too familiar with that specific engine, but am somewhat familiar with working on cars and have tools.
How difficult is the job to replace the seal?
Does anyone have any directions/resources to replace it?
TIA
Christopher

Sorry, didn't realize there was an option for the SE.
I'm going to guess it's the standard 3.0 Vulcan OHV and not the Duratec
DOHC.
