95 BlazerS-10 turn signal indicator problem

The right turn signal indicator lamp stays on when the running/headlights are turned on. But flashes when the turnsignal is activated and goes back to a steady light when switched back. When the running/headlights are off the indicator works normally. All the fuses and bulbs are fine. I just bought the truck recently and it appears to have a new turnsignal stalk. The lettering is nice and white and does not reflect a truck with 98,000 on it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Take a look at the bulb and see if both fillements are lit. Also make sure the bulb isnt installed wrong.

Youre not supposed to be able to put it in wrong but if there is a human involved its possible.

It sounds like the two signal wires, low and high might be swapped.

I would check the ground also...a bad ground can cause a host of problems...

2 things that could cause that and they are 1 the turn signal switch and 2 the headlight switch with the headlight switch being the most common problem
