shaking, really bad with AC!!! HELP!

ive been to so many places asking whats wrong with my car. When i drive it doesnt shake or anything but when i am at a stop light and in drive it shakes a little, but if i turn the AC on it shakes like crazy and makes all kinda of noise i mean ive heard all kinda of things? anyone have this problem or a remmedy?

have you checked the motor mounts?

yes i checked them, they said 2 were kinda bad, but 2 were ok and it wouldnt do jack shit.....i dont wanna spend money on them when it wont do anything, it doesnt seem any other contour has this problem but mine, i want to fix this problem to start putting additions to the car

Im assuming you have the V6? So basically 2 out of your 3 are kinda bad? :uhoh: Well, technically 4 if you count the engine brace thats on the left but thats made out of steel. Im guessing the two that are kinda bad are the two main motor mounts which are connected to the frame of the car. If they are in fact bad, they will create a vibration when in park and neutral, but will stop when the car is moving. I say spend the $100 and get them fixed.

I have the same problem on my Ford Contour! Mine is a 98 and when I turn on the AC the car acts like its going to die when I stop at a light. It's usually ok when I am driving but it freaks me out to have it on so I just never turn it on. I would like to know also what is going on.
