Well I'm just happy that the Raptors are off to such a great season 3-0 defeating the reigning champs. I think that Carter kind of regrets what he was saying about his trade proposals.
Just wanted to know who everyone is rooting for this year
PS. Those not interested in basketball can feel free to leave as your commenst are unwelcome. This is straight NBA talk.

I love the NBA, but dont' really pull hard for any team in particular. I guess I'd have to say I'm a Clipper fan more than any other team. What can I say, I'm from LA and hate the Lakers... The Clips seem to have a pretty permanent spot in the western conference cellar, but they play damn entertaining ball and have a good cast of personalities. Had a great game against Detroit tonight too.
I like the T Wolves too. KG is a beast...

Never seen those before, but is anyone else in here familiar with the yahoo fantasy sports game they have? I have that going on with a few friends of mine, it's fun and you guys should try it out....next season.
And yes KG is an awesome player, but Kobe has more room to shine this year. He's leading the NBA already with 28.8 PPG. Now those of you that are going to call him a hog should also look at hi 18 APG. I think he knows what e has to do without Shaq and he's off to a good start.
Ye the Suns are doing great too, and now with the signing of the veteran Bo, theres always room to improve.

The Rockets suck again as usual. They need to redevelop their plays and use T-Mack more efficiently. Give him the ball more often, allow him to run in the lane and lay it up.

He's ALWAYS injured, only plays half the games every season... and really doesnt contribute much but drama to the Toronto team
(good start but...)

18 APG....um no he doesnt, he has 18 assists this season which is over 5 games. Which equals 3 APG. Kobe is a selfish player just like Shaq. KG has alot more room to shine because he is on a better team.

Ma bad, must have read that wrong. He's still in the top 30 for assists, which is pretty darn good. And just to let ya know that his assist statistics (thats a mouth full) dont accout for him being a hog. He passes the ball a lot more and really contributes to the team, he know what it takes to be a superstar and he's working it.
In other news, Raps beat the undefeated Utah Jazz so they are 4-1. Still top performers but I regretfully say that this is too good to be true. You might say that this is only to get peoples hopes upo and drop them like a ton of bricks come halfway through the season. But ya never know

Theres also a reason why he's the highest paid player in the league lol But Kobe's still the man, he pulls off some crazy shots
Iverson will always be numero uno...

The MVP isn't about who is the best player, it's exactly what it says, most valuable. KG won it because he carried the whole team on his shoulders, not only with the numbers he put up but with the leadership he brought to the team. No matter how good Kobe's numbers were last year he still spent more time getting in conflicts with Phil & Shaq and trying to self-promote than doing what was best for the Lakers. That's not what an MVP does.
Kobe has a better shot at MVP this season than last because his team depends on him so much more now, and he can attach a little bit of ownership and personal responsibility to how the team does. He is sharing the ball really well so far, even if he does take a lot of shots himself.
On a completely different note, I really hope Grant Hill can stay healthy this year. Over the years we've seen that guy spending way too much time behind the bench in a suit for such a talented player...

Don't worry about it, I like both players on different levels. As mentionned KG is a great all-around player. And again, an MVP is chosen because of his ability to do everything.
And yea, there are way too many injuries. Especially the vital players for their teams.
