I havent done a whole lot with my t-bird, I have mostly just messed w/ the stereo, but now that Ive spent a couple years doing that, I want to do a few mods that are more advanced than my K&N panel filter, tornado, and removed air silencer.... lol... I know... exhaust, a REAL intake upgrade... yeah, but tell me something I dont know... how about switching the driveshaft to a markVIII, how about changing the gears to 3:73, and is that different than changing the rear end? if so, whats the difference, and what is involved. those are the three things I am interested in learning about. If anyone has any info to offer for me about those, I would be very much appreciative. thanks guys... Rick

When you change your rear end gears you will lose gas mileage, The Mark VIII drive shaft will help you keep your drive shaft from ballooning when at high speeds, but you don't need to worry about that until you get rid of the governer.

It's a start, but when you do everything else, the chip will need to change again. There are chips available that with a computer software program you can change the parameters yourself to change the programming of the chip to meet the needs of your mods. Bottom line, if you get a chip first, don't go the cheap route because you'll spend the money again and again.
