84 toyota SR5

On my way home from work my truck just gave out on me. It has gas. It has spark, and we just replaced the fuel filter thinking that might be it, but obviously not. It sounds like it wants to start but it just won't do it. Any ideas?

See if it's getting fuel, you said you replaced the fuel filter, but is fuel reaching the induction system.

Yes, it is getting fuel. Somebody told me tonight to check a certain fuse because he had that same problem on a 85.

If it's EFI, you have 3 fuzes at the bottom of your fuze box (under dash), there labeled EFI, Engine, ING. Check those

Changed fuses, still doesn't start. It's getting spark and gas but just doesn't want to turn over that last little bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

sounds like a problem that i had awhile back on my 84 , if you havent got it goin yet do compression test and check for burnt valve .That was what i wrong with mine when it had the same prob as your that is not starting
