Halo Deuce

Approx. 4 hours and 51 min from this post halo 2 will be released. Just thought id add this for any Halo players.... xbconnect all day hahah

All I hear about is how great Halo is and about how Halo 2 will be the bomb; is it really that great of a game? I mean how is it any better than Unreal Tournament or Quake 3? I've never played Halo at all, but I have played all the Quakes and Unreal Tournament and I don't see much of a difference other than visual (different monsters and different characters) and weapon selection. Just curious.

well I think its such a good game one beacause unlike all the other shooting games, u have to think on halo. Also its more strategy wise, when you play multiplayer which is what most people play. That and vehicles I guess.

Halo sucked on the PC. Chuggy POS and the gameplay was pretty boring - usual run 'n gun affair. I can get it running ok on my P4 2.8 and Geforce FX5900XTV - but I CBF'd playing it. My guess is that Halo 2 will be more of the same.

Half-Life 2 > Halo :)

BTW Tribes 2 and Tribes Vengeance are better than Halo ;)

lol na i didnt mean halo for ps2 i meant outta al the games available for those, some preffer final fantasy for ps2 and some like halo for xbox. Odes anyone know if NFSU 2 is gunna have system link?

I just got the game and man its the SHIT! NON STOP ACTION...for real! :thumbsup:

i like it it takes a little while to get use to. You have a smaller feild of view than in halo 1, But the graphics are bigger and sharper. Its almost imposible to kill a person who i double weilding if you only have one gun.

The only thing i hate is that the flash light doesn't stay on as long as the Halo 1!

i think the flash light stays on longer if you are in a very dark area. Does anyone think the guys run slower?

i havent noticed him run any slower, but that game is long as hell, ive been playin for like 10 hours an I dont think im anywhere near done.

I stayed up till 12:00 at my local eb games and got it. Was the 8th person in line too. HEHEHEHE. When I got home, popped it in and man was I astonished how well that game looks. The graphics are so much better and the second halo planet level, is just drop dead gorgoeus. The only problem I have with the game is that the cutscenes have a texture pop-up problem cause You'd see master chief walking as a body with no armor then all of a sudden it appears. Also the warthog is not as fun as the first one either. It's almost like they've toned down the physics from the first. But man is it good.

The dvd the speacial edition I got is freakin long too. It shows so much of the making of it.

I heard the ending is a cliff-hanger and is kinda of hard to take.

WOW! this game rules..really I've only played split screen vs so far but everything is awesome. My fav. additions are the beam saber thing and the dual weapon weilding.

my friend beat it yesterday, and yes it is still awesome. My fave weapon is still the needler especially dual weilding. And its fun at hell driving the ghost around and using it to run over people (vs mode).

Think I'll just stick with my PS2 and Smackdown vs Raw game :grinyes:

I hate that weapon. Its so annoying. I love the shotgun, rifle and pistol. I'm a sharp shooter ;)

i love the elite's sword, that thing is bad ass on hit and their dead. And ofcourse the sniper rifle. What weapons do you think are the most powerfull except the rocket launcher.

I believe the sniper rifle is the most powerful. Depending where you hit them...

Ya I think the best combo is the pistol and SMG at close range, aim at the head and you can screw them up really bad. Ive ben playin on XBC alot so I havent really been playin campaign that much. Its a good game though, plus the vehicles can be blown up, thats badass.

THe needler is really only good if ur in a small arena. But i really like the sniper rifle though, very fun to pick them off.

Well i finally beat it, and the ending isnt like I thought it would be, but I wont ruin it for no one.

On the very last level, the scorpian thing wouldn't move at all when I was flying around in the banshee so something was up with my xbox. I retryed the last level 3 times till finally, he started to move. Must be a glitch but man was I ticked off. The game is something glitchy, doesn't run as smooth as the first one did.

Oh yeh theres alot of ppl that are really good. Gotta have quick reflex and good aim! Always go for the head ;)

Another thing is...when you sneak up behind them...just melee attack. It only takes one hit ;)

you know that really annoys me how good some people are..kind of ruins the fun for people who don't sit and play it all day..My g/fs bro can zoom in to ur head anywhere from the level and kill u in one shot..while your running! It's so boring playing w/ him because that's like ALL he does.. and I don't get to play video games as much as I used to :( (which is probably a good thing heh)

I like just fighting w/ sabers anyways that's a true fight!

Wow this sux, my XBOX is broken, i put in the power plug and I heard sparking noises then I smelled sumthing burning. After that all the power in my room shut off and now my XBOX dont turn on.

It shorted out. Take it and exchange it.
