I'm looking at buying either KYB AGX or Tokico Illumina shocks for my 2000 Civic Si. What would be the better choice for just street driving? Also... is it even worth buying shocks or can I just keep my old stock shocks and just buy springs?
Thanks in advance.

Illuminas are a little better than AGX's. If your lowering the car I highly suggest you replace both springs and struts at the same time. Another suggestion, check out some of the other posts in this forums. Your question has been answered numerous times.
EVERY lowering springs has increased springs rates, which means stiffer springs. They must be stiffer because there is less room for the suspension to travel. Struts are what keep your car from bouncing forever with 1 slight bump and they also keep the tires planted on the ground. If you don't replace the struts get ready to order new ones and pay double labor if not done in one shot.
