I am not getting any fire throughout even though it does turn over. I have replaced the coil and the white main relay but it did not help. I swapped (o2 & fuel) the other two relays in the engine box since they are the same type to see if that made a difference. is there any relays in the main fuse box that can cause it to not fire? I thought the ecu (computer) but a guy at the BMW shop told me it would probably still start if it was the ecu but would run terrible.
This car ran fine until my brother shorted pin 6 or 7 in the connection that looks like the diagnostics connection near the main fuse box (engine plug I think) and firewall. He should have been shorting pin 7 in the diag box to reset the service indicator.
Any good suggestions?
Can the ignition relay cause no fire? I thought if it was bad the car would not even turn over.
Tested again last night and not getting gas out of the main feeder line. so I guess no fuel and fire. going to try and new fuel relay tonight.

just something to try.. there are two sensors on the trans. they read the teeth on the flywheel and tell the computer when to fire... from under the car you could see them on the drivers side.. with a #5 allen unscrew the screw and pull out.. just switch the two of them and try it... it may start.. I'm not sure about the fuel

you should check to see if you have any power at the pump before you pay $210 for a new one.. if you don't have power it could be a relay.. the relay is out past the fuse box... it is a little black box with 3 relays in, I'm not sure which one is for the fuel or even what the other two do, I do know it is one of them
