My wife has a 1992 Thunderbird with the standard V-6 engine.
When the weather became cooler this fall this vehicle nearly refuses to start. When temperature is warmer (55 degrees +) there doesn't seem to be a problem. When left outside overnight it refuses to start in the A.M. After considerable turning over with the starter it will sometimes start and considerable dark smoke emits from the exhaust as if it were flooded.
We took it to the shop and it has been there for over a week with no problem, or solution being found.
Any help ?

i would think it to be your fuel filter if they are clogged they make for hard starting when its cold its about a five dollar part and is located in the front drivers wheel well behind the inner lining

well it could be one or more of a few things: 1)battery discharged or low2)not getting fuel3)bad injection system4)bad parts in the ditributer (probably alot of carbon tracks)5)could be even in the ignition system somewhere
