I was coming home the other night and my timing belt broke and i lost my power steering, brakes evrything. my driveway has a big hill that goes down to a garage with my dads corvette in it. i was standing on the brake to get it to stop before the garage, i just stopped it in time. so today i putting the new belt on with the help of my buddy at my local autoshop.

You probably have bent valves. Something to investigate before you put the new timing belt on.
Sucks about the car, though. Remember you always have the e-brake if you have to stop in an emergency.
