idiot lights ???

1996 chrysler LHS sat for 3 weeks replaced intake manifold gaskets
runs great but track control and ABS loghts are on unhooked batt. 3 times lights still on ?? any ideas out there? brake fluld good and pedel presure good ??

Have the car taken down to a Chrysler dealership and check it out. Sounds like your ABS/Traction Control system has found a fault somewhere in the system. You'll still have base brakes, but you won't have anti-lock or traction control; which means your wheels could spin in wet or slippery weather.

there are a lot of things to make idiot lights go on but the car is not worth taking to a dealer and have them charge hundreds of dollors for something i can do myself. I am looking for imput on places to check. I was just hoping someone that has had this problem or had first hand knowlage of this system was on this site. thank you FREAKnasty for you fast responce> could you share your background in mechanics with me ??

If you have a problem with the ABS/traction control, go to each wheel and look at the tone ring around the driveaxle on the front and the inner part of the hub on the rear. If you see that one of the teeth on the tone wheel is chipped or cracked, that's more than likely causing your trouble. If not, you could have something electronic that's going wrong.
