 Yes a catback and cold air will be the best bang for the buck, but u can add another $400 and get a NOS system for real power. :evillol:

The first thing on the "best bang for the buck" list is always gears. However, that'll pretty much take all that $350, unless you do it yourself. A cold air intake system is a waste unless you want it for looks as well. Just get a K&N drop-in filter and call it a day for that. What is this on?

At around $200 for a set of gears nothing can beat it for Money vs. ET drop. But the problem with gears is unlike almost everything else it really needs to be done by a professional so there is an added cost of install.

But unlike nitrous the only other part that can compete in money vs ET drop there is a one time fee, not the $40 everytime you refill the bottle or all the extra money involved in nitrous like purge, heater, fuel guage, nitrous guage.

You CAN, but it's one of those things that should be done by a professional. You'll need a few special tools as well and its not that easy to do by yourself at home unless you have everything. It's not just a r&r deal, like putting on a CAI or something. You have to set the proper measurements for backlash and pinion depth making the tooth pattern right on the ring gear. Also, if you do it right, the bearings, axle seals, diff fluid, races, clutches, spring and carrier pin bolt should all be replaced as well. Taking this all into mind will ensure a good, solid rear end that will last a long time.

It's in your control panel under "edit sig".

what about a hypertech power module

what about a hypertech power module

With a mildly modded motor, a chip or tuner is still not worth it for power gains vs. money. Theres really not much your computer can do to gain power from your stock motor. About all it will do is change fuel/spark curves slightly, shift points and airflow maps and such. But with the stock components yet, it wont really help any.

Depends what gears you put in the back with 3.73's and good driving you should be low 14's.

underdrive pulleys and a timing light to advance your timing. All the off the shelf chip really do it a timing advance.
