despair, my birdie

Yesterday i got a new bird. The man at the shop said it was a "sugarcane bird", i thought it was a caique. Its small, green all over with some parts of the tail red. i bought it because i thought i had some knowledge of this bird, and because i wanted something different, all the other birds i owned were budgies. And it was the only parrot-ish bird i could get, besides the budgies, that costs below $100. (it was $35 btw, and 12 for the cage. the budgies cost 12, the big parrots cost 250+) so i went back home, and looked up on the internet, and realized i had no idea what this bird is called. the internet said caiques were energetic and acrobatic, mine is no different, it spends most of its time hanging upside down on the roof, walking around upside down, on the cage walls, climbing up and down. it only eats apples, i put seeds in the cage but it wouldnt eat them, yesterday it would only eat upside down, today it could eat on the plastic branch thing, but it still wouldnt eat the seeds. its like a wild bird, if i let it out in the bathroom it would fly towards the window. Yesterday i think it slept upside down, and if its not climbing the cage walls its running bach and forth on the branch thing.

i dont know how to care for it, iv never tried to tame a bird this wild, yesterday its poop was green, today its pumpkin coloured, i think its because of all the apples. i dont even know what type of bird it is.

Maybe i should return it and say i dont want no sugarcane bird and get 2 budgies instead.. but that would be iresponsible of me.. I saw someone mentioning that he owned birds? wheres that guy?

(btw the bird is sleeping upside down again)

Check back with the pet store to find out some care and feeding instructions. He (she?) looks healthy, so the shop was taking good care of da boid. They may even have a book or something.
