me and a group of buddies just started one up the other day. we don't have a name yet, but i'm the drummer, and there's 2 guitarists, a bass player and a lead singer. pretty standard. it's looking like i might have to be the back-up singer too since the other guys all suck.
i've never had a lesson before and never owned a set. but somehow i'm very good at drums. :screwy: i'm getting my own kit within the next month though.
we can play a few songs by TBS, and we're getting together again on tuesday to work on some more, and we'll probably start writing our own shit a bit further down the road once we've all learned to work together and what-not.
so anyone else got one?

me and a friend with similar musical tastes want to start a band together.
similar tastes meaning that both our collections span from Trance to Lords of Acid to Slayer to Primus to everything in between. The music will probably land somewhere between Primus (meaning I have a BIG learning curve to step up to), MSI, and Mr Bungle
We need a drummer that doesnt suck and we'll be good to go. I like instrumental music.

I was in one band for over a year....then a different band for a couple months....now I'm in another band with the lead guitarist from my first band and rythm guitarist from the second band.
Anyways were working on a couple originals and doing covers of Judas Priest "painkiller" and Black Sabbath "n.i.b."......

I was in this band for about 3 years: www.revoke.pretenda.com
but we split up a week ago
me and the drummer still jam, and last week we jamed with the reason why we split up, don't ask, I don't know why either, but I'm about to leave as well as let this band crumple. Something I do not want to do. Politics.

Jesus, MSI and Bungle? mmm, nothing but love. Rare to find anyone at all that knows about them.
You must be excited for Patton's next project, peeping tom..

Hi
I'm in a band called "arising darkness" we do thrash metal and a couple of chill out songs (very thew we like to keep it fast and hard) Anywayz we play are own music, my mate simon writes all the songs, he's a genius when it comes to songs, he just has an idea and he will just bash it put into a song (well good) I play Bass guitar and my mate plays lead guitar then theres james on drums. pretty good set-up. We played at a talent comp. and the crowd loved us (they wanted more and more!) I was just thrashing my bass for all it was worth and i got the biggest buzz out of it EVER! I could'nt stay still i was jittering around with the buzz of it all. By the way we have OVER a-hundred songs written but we have only 20 of them completed, trying to get the songs recorded so we can get a demo together (wish us luck)

I WAS in a band. Was teh drummer for a band called A.D.D. (don't ask), but my guitar player moved, and my bass player got lazy. Not to mention my town was lacking in musical talent.
