Sorry for long post, but please read!

Ok, I have a 92 N/A 1.8L eclipse and this is my second one. The last one had a problem with the idle dropping after giving it gas, wouldnt cut off, just drop to like 400 and then come back up to normal. This one doesnt do that, but it does have a miss. Everyone has described their miss to be similar, but here is my description. Its really bad when its cold (just let car warm up and get moving slow in morn), and goes away when it warms up and then after about an hour of driving it comes back when accelerating. If i turn off the ignition while driving and cut it back on the problem disappears for at least another hour. It has something to do with strain on the engine, because i have never noticed it when not in gear (5spd by the way) and it occurs sooner and worse if ac has been on. It happens mainly at low rpms but when it happens (only after hard driving) at higher ones (3500+), the car will blip and miss and jerk the car all over the place and then loose all power and will actually solw down at WOT, but i usually dont let it get that bad since i noticed that you can cut ignition off and back on and prob goes away. It has to be sensor related, my ecu is only a year or so old and was in my other car that didnt have this problem. New spark plugs, a little better, but not much difference. The distributer is off the other car, because i thought that might be it, but no. I havent touched the TPS or idle control sensors yet but there is no oil in the TB or intake from PCV. I am pretty sure its ignition related because i think i have heard small rich sounding backfire after missing. I have replaced the fuel filter anyway, and am getting ready to put in a Walbro 255 and rewire kit. I have used injector cleaner and water eliminater in gas tank, just in case and nothing but premium gas. Its driving fine and hasnt kept me from getting anywhere, but im really stumped.

I still think it could be the coil or igniter on the distributer, but dont know. Will the 2.0 disributer fin in my engine by any chance so i can use a normal distributer and coil system?

Any thoughts on the whole problem would be great!

the 2.0 doesnt have a distributo it has a coil pack and i dont think it can be adapted to the 1.8. when i was having problems with my 1.8 it was a loose connector on the distributor but it had different problems. id check for loose connectors

Yeah, i realized that the other day, just forgot to change it. Thanks for the help, ive checked all connections like 10 times, but it couldnt hurt to check again.
