maxima motor

I am new to the maxima scene. I have a question about the motor. Is the motor in the 1995-1999 maxima the same motor used in the 1990-199? 300ZX? What are the similarities and differences besides being turbocharged.

the 300zx engine code is vg30de i think and the 95 maxima's were VQ30de, plus the Z is a rear wheel drive car and the maximas are front wheel drive

The VG was used in the 3rd gen maximas. No, the turbo stuff won't fit.

Third gen Maximas used either VE or VG engines.

yeah the 190 hp 3rd generation SE's were VG's the 160 hp ones were VE's.
