RTV is a gasket sealer substance sold in tubes at your local autoparts store. I followed much the same process as the dude in that tutorial, with the piece of rubber hose coming off of the Tfitting, then the nylon line stuck in the end of the rubber hose.

I didn't use RTV, and have had no problems with the gauge line blowing out (just make sure it's a tight fit).

well i fanally finished installing my boost gauge today...yay.

i just a quick question. when i was done i started the car and reved it to see if the gauge was working but the needle did not move. IS THIS NORMAL? when driving it did read boost but only when driving.

Does the gauge have vacuum? You won't be able to build any boost in neutral unless you do something unrecommended, like pinging off of the rev limiter. If it's a boost only gauge that starts at 0, it sounds like it's working right.

All i have is the stock turbo, k&n intake and apex'i exhaust. Yes, it is a boost gauge only.
