How do you fix a sunroof?

The sunroof on my Hyundai Elantra Gls '92 won't open. I was told by one guy that the motor ws broken, but when I press the buttons I can hear it respond. What I want to know is this. It won't open at all. It's bumming me out. I do not want to pay someone an hourly rate just to replace it when I'm almost sure I could do it myself. Is there anyone who know's how to replace or repair the sunroof stuff to make it open again, and if so, how? Please let me know, I really could use the help and this looks like the place to get it. Thanks!
