High Insurence Price?

Do you think the insurence price would be pricey cosidering its a coupe and maybe a "sports car"? Would it be more expensive than integra's or preludes? It comes so nicely equiped stock they might think its a car thats screaming to be stolen? If any of you have the scion tc can you let me know how high the insurence price is considered to other cars? Im considering buying one. Thanks :)

from what i've been told, it's treated as a 2 door sports coupe... unless your 25.. i wouldn't recommend buying it... cause insurance will be pricy

Go to progressive online (even if you aren't interested in ultimately getting a policy with them) and do an online quote on your current car and then on the one you want.

I found it was a quick way to find out how my insurance co would look at the new vehicle I was considering without sitting on hold with a sale hungry insurance agent. Also, you can do it anytime day, night, & weekends. It was a real help for me.

see if you can call it a 2-door hatchback rather than a coupe to save you some money

Yeah, but if you give them a serial number off the car, wouldn't they know right away what it is since there is only one model of Tc out at the moment?

I just bought the Tc and the price of my insurance is 92 a month but that is with no tickets or wrecks.

Yeah its considered a sport coupe, but it has a hatch. The trunk lid and back glass all raise together, thus making it a hatch. So shouldnt it be a hatch?

Oh btw, im going to look at one Monday. They look pretty sharp, just hope they can hold my 5'10 240lb frame in comfort.

We've been shopping around for my daughter a car. (She turns 16 this fall.) She LOVES the Tc's. So my wife & I went and test drove one this afternoon. Very nice car. As for you being comfortable, I think you'll be right at the very limit. I'm 6'2" 270lbs and I was very cramped. Still I think it would be a good car for her if the insurance is'nt too high.
Later.

good student discount with state farm would be good for her if she is one, also tell them its a hatchback because it is. cheap rates. go for the optional side airbags.
