Battery Safety Terminal (BST) Problem

My 99 740il was involeved in a side impact to the right front door, the door bag deployed and now I have the BST problem, the car wont start.

Battery Safety Terminal (BST), which, in the event of an accident, reduces the risk of a short-circuit by severing the connection between the battery and starter cable. However, BST only cuts the high-voltage connection, but maintains the low-voltage capabilities that serve central locking and lights.

So how do I reset this thing so I can start my car ?

My positive cable on the battery has a little black wire atached to it, that runs into the wiring harnest in the trunck, that flows into the cabin, but there are somany wires I dont know what to do to reengage the BST to finally start my car,

Is there some way to just remove this BST crap from my car ?

If anyone out there can help me with this, I will appreciate it.
Any info on this matter and how to get my car started again will be very helpfull.

You accident activated the BST for a reason, to prevent fires and damage after an impact.
Your accident sand the BST should be covered by your insuance Co.
Just make them pay for it.
There is a repair kit for the BST from.. Ta Da! BMW!
You cut of the old crimp on the new and your on your way.
I guess your lucky the Airbag$ didnt go off in the accident.
