The Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Concorde, and Chrysler LHS are gone as of the end of the 2004 model year. Replaced by the Dodge Magnum and the Chrysler 300 and 300C.

The intrepid is actually being replaced by the new charger, which yes is a 4 door. WTF were they thinking?

would that make the new charger a family car?

Yeah it is going to be considered a family/sports sedan. A family car with a 6.1L hemi (R/T model) you figure it out.

It did sell fairly well, the platform (LH) has been out since 1993 so after 11 years it was time for a change to a newer platform (LX).

Well considereing the magnum r/t (station wagon) does the quarter mile in 13secs. I'm sure the charger will haul ass.

what do think 11 in the quarter maybe a 10?

Same platform as the Magnun/300C, 4 doors, probably will weigh within 2 or 3 hundred pounds of them, I'd say maybe mid 13's with the 5.7 Engine.

I would guess the R/T with the 6.1 will touch in the high 12's, but probably not much quicker than that. With mods it could get much better, but since it's a 4 door they will be looking more for mpg. A small change in gears can make a huge difference.

thats cool would new gears work on a intrepid?

Most vehicles can be faster if you change the gears. It is alot of work and expensive. Keep in mind you should know exactly what you are doing. Also don't forget that you will have losses other places like mpg for instance.

The final drive ratio for vehicles with the 2.7 engine was 3.89:1 which is a relatively high ratio, I couldn't find any final drive info on vehicles equipped with the 3.3, 3.2, or 3.5 engines but I would think they were a numerically lower ratio.

Would be my guess but I'm really not sure. They should all be fairly similar.
