Cavalier Shift Knob!!

I have just bought a 2004 cavalier and i wanted 2 change the shift knob. The only problem is that when you pop it in reverse u have 2 lift this lever and most shift knobs wont work on mine. Does any1 know of any shift knobs that are specially for a 2004 cavalier?? please help. You may e-mail me if you want. thank you.

the lift part has a cable attached to it! take out the centre condile, pull the cable so that it's engaged and then put something on it or wrap it around the assy so it stays on and use whatever shifter you want!

there was no cable on mine. i took out the shift knob and the lever thing and you dont have to have the lever thing in there its just a safety so it wont pop into reverse. so it works fine without it.
