I personally like the ability to mill around town with the automatic mode that SMG offers. I know alot of people like the feel of controlling the clutch, but I personally dont think that a manual is worth it for a daily driver. Sitting in traffic and at stop lights with a manual isnt my idea of fun... And on the track having the F1 style shifters is a little better then having a manual because it opens up your left foot and lets you keep both hands on the wheel. SMG is the fastest shifters I know of that isnt on an actual F1 car, but also lets you be lazy if you desire. So if your going to be driving around alot, in all kinds of traffic conditions, I would go with SMG, but if you want a weekend car, or want to save the money, I'd go with a Manual.

i prefer standard manuel than the SMG shifter because nothing has a faster reaction time than muscle memory. while at the track you loose horsepower to the wheels because of the delay in the shifter times. Although it is a fast shifter nothing beats the feel of human touch.

You really shouldn't ask people this. It honestly is a personal preferance. I prefer a manual gearbox over SMG. You should try both out. All you will have here is other people trying to convince you one is better the the other. btw manual is better.

SMG. I personally dont feel like doing so much movement after a long days work. But when I wana have fun there is always manual. Becides you can do a launch with a SMG that burns up your flywheel after 3 trys of it.

Well its 99% preference. From what i hear, and quoted in Car and Driver mag, the SMG performs "Sloppy" in city driving. There are some things you cannot do with an SMG that you can with a clutch...SMG may be fast, but if your a skilled driver and know how to manipulate the clutch, then you will be faster.
