shops in palmdale or anything close

I live out at Edwards so its like a hour drive into town anyways. But I'm looking for a shop that can do cams, valve springs pretty much any motor work. I'm willing to drive into LA if there are any good shops there I'm sure there are but I haven't realy been down there.
