alright, civics are good cars. theres no denying that theyre reliable and economical. you can do almost anything to a civic and every parts company makes stuff for them. precisely why i bought a focus. it takes more creativity and fabrication to tune a focus, and contrary to popular belief the two oh zetec is a damn hot engine. foci are sick thats all there is to it.

Great point. Also, when you buy a Civic, most often, if you really want to step up the power to anything decent, your best bet is to swap in a DOHC motor, like a B-series. No need to do that with a Focus.

people are making almost as much stuff for the focus as they are the civic, lol its almost like a new wave civic lol. and its been known since 98 teh Zetec is a great motor. All you have over a stock EX is 20ft/lb of tq and 3hp, but is also a 1.7l.

If you want somethign that "takes more creativity and fabrication to tune" look at a zetec Contour or ZX2, ther only share intake cam and pullies with the focus, and has nothing else the same in the aftermarket. ther are only 2 turbo kits, NO sc kits, not many places that sell heads and cams, not many exausts, not many places that know how to tune a VCT, only about 4 headers available. Try that for a car that needs creativity.

Not to mention stock for stock its faster then a focus cuz it has better grearing, weighs less, and has a better tq curve.

lol yeah a focus isnt really orignal when it comes to tuning cars. I always see riced out focuses. Focuses have so much tunning support their are even v8 conversion kits for it. Me personally i never really liked the style of the focus, but to each his own.

zx2 weighs 77lbs less, but you have to mix teh weigth diff with the gearing and tq curve to see why it runs quicker times

also, the difference between a focus sedan and zx3 isnt that much either isnt it? something like 100 lbs

teh sedan, zx3 and wagon are all booked at 2551 the zx5 is booked at 2600 as of 2002

in 2004 teh weights were changed to:
zx3: 2612
zx5: 2691
sedan: 2606
wagon: 2702

well if all cars are the same weight, why do most people prefer the zx3 and not a se w/ zetech? style? personally if you look at the zx3 a certain way it looks like an egg.

most people dont care about 6lbs lol
