LOW or BAD Spark

I got a '90 crx for next to nothing. when I picked it up they said it ran when it got there but won't any more. It took my buddy and I about 2 hours to get it started. Found out the module was bad. I got a another one and we had it running. But it takes help to get started. We checked all the grounds and they all seem fine but I am getting very little spark. Anyone have any Ideas? I changed the plug wires and cap and rotor with new plugs on the way.

check the battery maybe it doesnt hold a charge
and check the coil... though they are usally either bad or godd no inbetween...
