not sure, possibly a grand. They're old engines, but pretty tight i've seen one with 320hp. What do you want to use the car for?

I guess you could try and find a 3T-GTE, smoging it will be hard. Always another option is to send in your 22R/E to LC Engineering or buy their master rebuild kit and turbo kit and use that engine. It's not really an ideal engine for drifting but it's low tq band will make it easy to do certain drifts and the car won't be slow. Just go to LC Engineering's website www.lcengineering.com look around there. Sticking with your 22R will be easier, more pay off? Depends on what type of engine you want for drifting.

The 22R-E engine is one of the best built toyota engines of all time. They used that engine in there vehicles for many years and most went well over 200,000 miles. The main problem with it as a racing engine is its inability to rev high but it has a lot of torque for a 4 banger. I say keep the 22R-E and rebuild it with some lighter and better quality components. You should be able to beat the crap out of it for lots of laps.

you can get the 3TGTE motor, engine harness, and ECU from toysport.com for $2,750 plus they also sell adapters for your W code tranny so you can bolt the motor to your tranny cant remember how much they cost though. But the 3tgte is also a low revving motor 160hp at 6000 rpm a little bit higher than the 22re but not much
