Well, it is nice to see someone offer $ for time.
But you left an all important factor out. How much money?
:)

Can you post a picture in your thread?

Hi 73V8MGB, I would love to draw you the car you requested, but I need a picture.

asaenz, what you want to know is not how much money you get, it's if you get any money at all.. Can't trust the internet these days :(

I understand your distrust in my offer, but I will pay $100.00 to buy the original that someone draw. I will post payment trough Paypal.com. The rules are the following:

The drawing should be in marker/pastel
The drawing should be 8x14
Post your drawing on this forum and I will buy one original
Please remember to keep the red and black color theme

I started it, but do you want it to look like a concept sketch, or with detail and an art look? (personally I would choose the second 1, since it does look like a classic :) )

BTW, I think it could look good with a pencil and pencil color only.

Edit: Allmost finished drawing it, but what I did is draw it all with pencil, black and white.

HighOctaneNOSUser: 8X14 would be inches. It need to be in marker.

Ran: with detail and an art look

Thanks,

So it must be in marker/pastel? We cannot use Marker and Pencil Crayon? Just clearing that up. And Ran, how do you do a red + black theme in pencil?

Ran
11-10-2004, 03:53 AM
Ok 73V8MGB, ill have it done by tonight.

And Ran, how do you do a red + black theme in pencil?

Well, im not sure exactly what you mean, but if its something I don't know how to do, I just expiriment, good luck :)

hmm...He specifically asked for a black and red theme. So, I wonder....

Ran
11-10-2004, 08:11 AM
Oh, I understand now. What I did is color it in red, and took the color theme from the pictures he showed us, I hope that its what he wanted... Cause theres no turning back.

Edit: I finished, the coloring didn't turn out as smooth as I wanted, but I guess I'll just have to do better next time. I will post the drawings soon, since it turned out not so nice, I don't mind if you aren't interested in it :)

Sorry for letting this take so long, I will scan it this weekend, and post it for you :)

I have a question: can you pay in a different way? I'm not saying you'll choose my drawing, just wondering so I know what to expect if I get lucky ;)

Thanks for supporting me :), I finished the drawing, so here it is:

http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=500/56339mgb-drawing.jpg

The sketch turned out very nice, but when I started coloring it, it just didn't turn out the way I wanted.

So if you're interested, I open this drawing in photoshop, and re-color it and make it look illustrated.

Hope you're not too dissappointed at me,

Don't sweat it Ran.

Your work is good. 73V8MGB is probably busy. Since I get the feeling this is for the holidays, you still got time. Do another one. Now that you know the vehicle I'm sure you'll lock it down.

Don't beat yourself up...there's plenty of people who will do that for you.

I can make this drawing if you accept Prisma Colors.
The following is a rendering I did of my 1968 Chevelle before I painted it just to get an idea of how it'll look.
Just a sample!!!!!
Let me know what you think.

RAN: My apologies for not commenting on your drawing sooner. I have been out of the office for a few days. Regarding your drawing, you are on the right idea, but I need more detail. Please email me at "[email protected]" and I will give you better pictures to work on.

On your early post you mention about alternative way to post payment. What other way do you have in mind?

Chevelle 1: Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the format that you're talking about. For some reason, I have not been able to download your example picture. If you like, you may e-mail it to me.

It's allright.
I will draw it again once you send me better pictures, I think PM would do just fine for that.

I tought about you paying by cheque, or cash, but cash might be suspicious in the mail.

I drew another drawing of the car, this time with markers, as a bonus ofcourse :)

So just pm me the pictures, and i'll start working.

VERY good for a "quick draft".

Hey RAN: Please note the correct way that MSHKTTCK drew the hood and the fenders. Notice how he stayed away from doing the front (hood/fenders) short and bulgy/round. He somehow recreated the longer and round front end of the MG. Just a constructive critic.

Thanks 73V8MGB (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=254024), I think I understand what you mean, but i'm not sure I will be able to fix it.

I hope you don't mind, but I have alot of studying to do.

Another one. (I fixed the proportions)

BTW, the drawing is actually 2.5" by 4.5" in real life, so I know it's too small. I also dont have a paypal account, but I can fix up the final draft in photoshop and send you it as a wallpaper for free.

Not bad, but the left side of the car is slanting down.

Mshkttck

That's from proportions. The far side is always smaller.

Did you draw it, and then color it in illustrator? I think the color really gives it a special look.

I sketched it out- then scanned the sketch and took it into Photoshop.
It might look a little like Illustrator because I used paths to map out the colred areas before I airbrushed. I hope to get a WACOM soon, so that I can get a more organic look to my renderings
