Does anybody got any ideas on this?

:confused: Does anyone know if a stuck intake valve on a "90" metro would cause the fuel to overload the the throttle body and blow out the top? I already know that the fuel pump works and that the fuel return lines are working. I also know that the throttle body itself is working fine and the fuel control valve is working as I have replaced both. Someone suggested that I may have a stuck intake valve but all three of the plugs are getting fouled or at least over loaded with fuel. So if its not a stuck valve would a timing problem cause this sort of problem? I feel that there is something relatively simple going wrong, perhaps a bad sensor. The thing is that I can get the thing started but it won't idle and I dont think it is a vacuum issue as I have checked and rechecked the vacuum lines. Also this problem happened very suddenly while driving it. Normally I would automatically take a look at the timeing belt but I was told that if the belt jumped even one tooth the motor would not start at all. So has any body ever encountered such a problem before and if so what was the problem.

i would buy or borrow a compression tester and check the compression in all the cyl

Sure nuff was a dropped valve. Does anyone know if this is a frequent issue with this motor? Becuase the guy I got the car from had just had the head ground a the valves reseated. This motor looks simple but that maybe deceptive. Hell I drive an old 1960 chevy Apache modified with a 350 and a 400 turbo trans becuase I am not a fan of shops and I like simple. Happens usually when the head is starving for oil(high rpm's, low oil). I've replaced a geo's engine that dropped a valve. But, the valve went through the piston, and destroyed the entire engine :(.
