I was wondering if this compressor would be enough to power an airbrush or if i need to get something bigger?

Don't get Airbrush compressors. Get a normal air compressor with a tank. I have a thread on Airbrush/ compressors on page 2 i think
i'll bump it up for u.

That's the exact one I have although I don't use it anymore since I moved into a house and got a shop compressor. It works fine for airbrushing but it didn't come with a real regulator with gauge or a moisture trap. One might think it's impossible to adjust without a pressure gauge but I was so used to it I just went by the test sprays. Moisture isn't a problem where I live. It's noisy and dances a lot so you'd need to set it on a few towels while spraying. Constant on means constant noise and it does get to you after a while.
For me it was miles ahead of the spray cans and propellant cans I was using at the time.

Hell yea!, With that you will fill it up and turn it off and have soo much air and at low PSI 2 Gallon takes a while to empty. I run a 3 Gal Craftsman Air Compressor and it works awesome. Also ones with tanks dont pulsate. Did you check out the thread i have that speaks about airbrush's and about tanks midway through. Thats where i learned most of my stuff.

Keep in mind the cost of shipping, you may be able to find something similar at a local hardware store and save some money over buying a cheap compressor online and paying the shipping costs.

Just so you know, oilless compressors sound like a screaming banshee when they're running. Sure once the tank is full you're set for quiet airbrushing for a long time, but 5 minutes of wailing from the compressor might mean temporary evacuation or ticked off neighbors if you're in an apartment. It's best to go to a local store and check them out first, preferably a store that lets you plug them in and listen to one. Then go shopping online for lower prices if you think you need to.

thanks for the info. i don't live in an apartment so i don't think the neighbors would mind. Im gonna go to lowes and see if they have any good compressors there.
