transmission

My transmission started leaking like 7 months ago. I used Trans-X and it was alright until now. It got so bad I have to buy a new one.

Does anyone know where to buy a cheap transmission? ANy advice?

automatic or manual? where does it leak from? unless the case is cracked you probably just need a new seal

Yeah, axle seals, or output shaft seals on AWDs, are like 7 bucks ;) For turbo tranny anyway.

It is automatic. Mits. Eclipse 95

It would be great if it was only the seal. I am not sure where it is leaking from. I was told it is leaking and I should use Trans-X. It really helped. I got fixed my engine mounts 3 weeks ago and that is when it started doing it again. It forgot to change gear sometimes. I put two bottles of TRans-X in. It is changing gears now but when there is a hill I cannot drive faster then 20 - 25 MPH. If I want to press gas pedal more the car will stop, makes some kind of weird sound, jerks and I have to take off my foot and try it again. It also does when I drive more then 30 mins.

Shops usually are stupid. But if the fluid is to the full line and you are having the problems above (cars stops??) its probably time for a rebuild or replacement.
