stalling problems

Can anyone tell me how to do the Idle Learn Procedure for my 1990 z24? I have disconnected the battery a few times and now I have a stalling problem. I have changed and checked just about everything. So I am hoping someone can tell me how to do this procedure. I found that it was Service Bulletins 911146E from GM, but it does not tell how to do it.

If you replaced the IAC valve here is the proceedure, It is fun:
Start the car and it will idle high, hold brake FIRMLY. Place car into gear. Drive the vehicle 3-5 minutes at 35 mph. You will feel the engine cease pulling so hard. You are now set. Good Luck and please be carefull.

This is one of the most dangerious reset proceedures I have encountered. GM should be called to task on this one. When I read it in my Haynes book I could hardly believe it. But it does work.
