i saw one thing that kerry supported and bush didnt. kerry supported tax breaks for companies that keep jobs here in the US, and no tax breaks for companies who send jobs to other countries. thats one reason i wanted kerry to win

first of all that is the only thing kerry supported clearly. and dont bitch about going to Iraq. you did your job just like any other person in this country, whether its bagging groceries, or hunting for terrorist. if i could get a medical waiver for my hering i would have already been there. you knew what you where doing when you tok that final oath at MEP's so dont say another word!!!!!! at this point in time bush is what we need. if you dont like it move to Canada like the rest of those other "Americans" or whatever you call them!!!

I personally couldn't stand Kerry. I thouhgt he was a total creep. Of course I don't really care for Bush, but I felt he was the lesser of 2 evils.

The biggest thing with Kerry was that he was so indecisive and I'm already married to someone like that, I don't want a President like that too lol. Also my father fought 3 years in Vietnam and the things he said about Vietnam Vets really pissed me off. For that reason alone I can't stand Kerry. You can say whatever the fuck you want to about me, but you don't talk about my family. So even if Kerry was the only one running I still would not have voted for him.

And as far as the dude who spent time over in Iraq already. I hate to say it also, but when you join you know its always a consequence to wind up in a war. My husband is in the military and we got married shortly after 9/11. We were already engaged but we wound up having to get married sooner because he was leaving so often and he had orders to get restationed. And I knew when I married him that I'd pretty much be marrying the damn military too. And ever since b/c of the terrorist attack, I see him maybe 6 months out of the year. But I can't bitch because I knew it was gonna happen before I married him.

So we both voted for Bush since he was the lesser of 2 evils, even though we know whil he's President my husband probably won't be around much.

Ebaum's world has this little presentation that shows you how it looks as if the gov't fired a missile at the Pentagon. Then they went and took any video that could have proven that it was a missile. The reason I have every right to bitch about something like that is because I fucking put in 4 years of my life to protect piece of shit people like you who have the nerve to tell me "not to bitch about going to Iraq". No...I didn't think so. While you’re fucked up eye sight kept you from all these horrible things, and thankfully let you be safe in the U.S., I unfortunately had to deal with all these problems. Any service member who proudly served over in Iraq or anywhere for that matter has every right to say whatever he or she wants to. My dad is in South Korea and their military is set up like that. Bad idea because you get idiots put in the system that could care less about what they are doing, and thats the last thing you want when your countries safety is at stake. Drafting and required service are bad ideas. So long as pay increases stay on, I dont feel we will need to change out military set up. Im also against Canadian Drugs...anyone else?

all of our views change over time. All I'm sayin is that when you join you always know its a consequence. I have no clue how many friends of mine wound up in afghanistan and they were all like damn I never thought I'd go to war. I didn't say shit to them but I was thinkin uh dude you joined the military.

You have done your time and you have your right to an opinion. I have friends serving a year in iraq that just left a month ago. It royally sucks. They are all home sick, worry about their families, their wives worry about them, etc. My god the first week they were there a guy got killed, I have no idea how many knots Ih ad in my stomach wondering if it was a friend. I've lost a friend and a friend of a friend to these damn wars. So I'm definitely one of the last people to back this war.

I spent 5 years in the Marines and got out 2.5 years ago when we were still operating in Afghanistan. I can tell you this, the President has his own objectives in mind for Iraq, not America's best interests. I have served in a time of war, and do not intend to do so again. Not that I am afraid, but I have my own beliefs in the military and thir mission for America, not the President (get's more complicated from there).

Me believing in America, and realizing my dreams is something that I have always strived for. And my loyalty to America is not to be questioned, as I have already served and was discharged honorably. But I also have my own mindset about the "leaders" of this country. They forget that WE are the bosses of this nation, including the President. Following someone blindly only gives that person more power and the opportunity to be corrupt. QUESTION THEM! That is the only way to get them to be able to explain their actions, don't follow their words, as ALL politicians are liars.

Question the leaders of the country. Do research on your own, find out the truth, and challenge the congressional and Presidential leaders of this fine country to improve the nation, not lead it to war.

If this "war on terror" continues, there will not be much of an all volunteer military left. I joined because college was not an option for me, and the Marines gave me free technical training and also paid for 80% of my schooling. It is a good deal, and though I served thru war, I am not complaining. But to see all the Marines I know still in (including my little brother) and their service, I do not see them staying in just to be shipped back overseas to fight another war, or to have their tours continued.

The draft is already in Congress, and I have read it. It will be voted upon next year. And to have the all volunteer military continuously being depleted like it is, Bush will not be able to keep his wars going.

When Bush first sent us to Afghanistan, he told the nation that this "war on terror" will take at least 8-12 years before completion. After he said that, my estimated life span dropped dramatically.

you are definitely right on questioning everything they do. I think in the beginning (with afghanistan) Bush had a reason. But with Iraq, I have never seen a reason for it. And its stupid because now no matter what we do, when we leave Iraq (if we ever do) its just gonna turn into another afghanistan and breed terrorists now because we attacked their country without a real reason.

I heard that the army has put a stop loss on or whatever, like people can't get out right now. I don't know if its true or not. But thats what a friend in iraq was telling me before he left a month and a half ago.

And yeah bringing back the draft or requiring military service will just bring down the quality of our military. I never joined because of a medical reason and also I'm not good at taking orders. I guess I would if I absolutely had to, but I can be a real bitch and I'm not one to really respect command and all that stuff. Hell, I told our previous commanders wife and her stupid snotty bitchy little spouses club where they could stick it. Of course my husband could've gotten yelled at for it, but no one said anything to him surprisingly. I had just had it though and I dind't give a rats ass who her husband was. So basically if they brought back the draft or I was forced to do 2yrs, I'd probably be a real bitch every step of the way. I went and came back safely, and I wish that for all the service members over there. Main thing I'm saying is...I have the right to complain about going there...why....cause thats me and I put in the time and effort to be over there and I did nothing but fill and empty sandbags for 3 months. Ask any former marine in 2/6 who was over there with me and they will tell you the exact same thing. The most pointless 3 months I ever served. Anyways, It was a big push for the Kerry campaign to lower drug costs by importing them from Canada. However, as many of us have seen in the past, Canadian drugs often turn out to be something they are not. Since they have no restrictions, or FDA approvals, there is no telling what the hell is in that little pink pill marked "Benadryl"...for all we know it could be corn starch. The point is, The brunt of what Kerry had to say about health care is full of shit, because there is no way that ANY country can get out of a deficit by promising tax cuts to everyone, and giving free healthcare to all. That is just an idiotic way of thinking...but then again, i didnt really pay much attention to it because it came from Kerry.
