I am new to the board and am lost maybe you can help. I just bought a new f150 4x4 2004 and when I push on the breaks it starts to vibrate the wheel shakes right then left. I have had it at the dealership 4 times for the same issue. Has anyone had an issue with this before or does anyone know what I can do. It gets old taking it back to Ford to fix and it just keep coming back they say it is fixed and it is for a day or two then the same thing. Well any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI Captin,
Sounds like the calipers are hanging up for some reason...I'd have them changed or at least have them checked

Yes,
It's probably just a bad Caliper, I think if they replace the defective Caliper (probably the Right side), maybe machine the rotors (unfortunately) seeing as it's a new truck, you should be good to go.
If you have been going back to the same Dealer, I think the answer here is go to another one, I'm sure they will fix it, Ford hates to have multiple claims for the same repair, then the customer reports after the 5th visit, it took another dealer to finally fix the complaint.
Don't be afraid to ask to have a Local Ford Dealer Rep meet you and Road Test The Truck, I'm sure you will get full Satisfaction at this point.

Wow u will not guess what has happend now
I am going to give you a view of what has happened with this truck in the 2 months that I have owned this NEW truck.
The day after I bought the truck I took it back for a vibration in the breaks and a vibration in the wheels at 30 and 75 well as I am sure all of you know the vibration in the wheels at those speeds was the tires are out of round and well the breaks well we are still on that one I also had a vibration in the rear end. Well they told me that they had to get new tires and that the rear end was bad.
So now that they have replaced the rear end and replaced the tires and rebuilt the break system that still does not work, and now the window falls off track and I smell something burning in the truck like plastic also let me add that the keypad does not work. Now remember that this truck in Two (2) months old I bought it on August 23 2004 and it is now November 9, 2004. So what do you think that I should do??? I do appreciate all the input and I will direct FORD to look at this posting also. Let me know what you think.
Thank you,
Darin

I cannot believe the trouble you are having. I believe a LEMON is a LEMON. If you local dealer isn't meeting your desires, ask them for the FORD HQ's phone number and call them for assistance. Several states (actually most states) have lemon laws to protect consumers. Maybe a complaint to the Better Business Bureau is in order also? That's your call. I believe I would get rid of this vehicle ASAP. The trick is finding a financial solution to protect you vested interest. GOOD LUCK

Yikes! Sounds like it was built at 4:30p on a Friday. There was a post or 2 a few days ago about someone who painted his lemon bright yellow & put a sign in the window telling everyone where he bought it. The dealer finally fixed it. I'd skip the dealer since thy can't seem to get it right... go straight to Ford mfg. Best of luck too you.
