What are the best tires to go on a thunderbird, in a michigan like climate. For 15" wheels. I have BF Goodrich Radial T/A's rihgt now and I think that they do a really good job, but they are all I've known. Let me know what you think.

I have goodyear "superstar"s... they dont get traction in the rain, I peel out everywhere ...on accident... and they are still rather new. so dont get those.

Dido on the Firehawk's.
Another good tire, beleive it or not, is the Kumho Ecsta HP4's. You mentioned Michigan so snow and wet are an issue. The Kumho's are about $60 each and are VERY GOOD in snow. You have to get the HP4's not other Kumho's. They are made in Korea if it matters.
Go to www.tirerack.com they have a lot of tires you can compare. Look at dry traction ratings, snow, wet traction, ride quality, noise etc. The Kumho HP4's are right up there with tires costing twice as much.

Beast, I was going to recommend what you already have. I have tried out many tires in the many years that I have owned birds, and BF Goodrich always offered the best traction (that I noticed).

For speed rating, I always used Eagle VR 60 Gatorbacks. But at $185 a piece, you can see why I 'used' them, and am not still 'using' them. Hell, I don't know if Goodyear even makes them anymore.

I have 225 60R16's all around that are goodyear L/S eagle tires, basically all weather-and they SUCK in the rain. If i'm going around a 90 degree corner, at 10mph, and give it even alittle gas, the car wags its tail-easily corrected, but still it's like whoa.. This is with only 10k miles on the tires, not even close to bald.
