dash/steering wheel color

i just got a 92 accord and i love it. however, i hate the color of the steering wheel and the dash. i have spent the good part of the past two days looking for ways to paint the entire dash panel. i know it can be done because i seen it done on a car, and i want to know how to change the color of the steering wheel and dash panel without having to replace everything or spend a fortune. is there a way?

Look for vinyl dye, it might take a good amount of prep work though.
