Hey i have a 2.2L 97 cavalier "rally sport", its an alright car but i was wondering how much faster will it go if i get a cold air intake, and whats a fairly priced, but decent one to buy?

Ok so you have 2.2 L 97 cav which u prolly paid more for some side moldings that say rally sport... as for a CAI... your car will not be faster since your car will top out 105-108 MPH for safty reasons... you will gain around 5-9 HP with an Intake.. it will pick up speed a little quicker and make your stock exhaust sound like shit and make your engine louder.. if you buy one from AEM or Injen plan on paying 205-240 bucks and thats pretty fair... but if you search a little more there are other companies out there that sell them too.... just look.. i found a guy who custom fab's them for my engine....

I have the same car 97 coupe 2.2. Like the other guy said it tops out at between105-108 due to goverment reasons. To make your car top out faster you will have to reprogram the ecu, or get a chip or modual that takes the factory speed governer off.
