whats better ls_vtec or b16a2

hey sup guys im kinda curious my brother has a 94 civic ex coupe sohc vtec and he wants to hae a swap done to it but he is not sure on what to get his budget is around 1800 now this might seem a lil to cheap for any swap but he is getting the hook up from a friend he can get a b16a2 all swaped for 1200 but he isnt sure on what to get a ls_vtec or the b16a2 he wants it to be a daily driver car and at the same time he wants to race in the weekends.He wants all motor no force induction so if u guys have any suggestions pls post them thanks !

Hey bud you need to find out what kind of head it has, it could possibly be dohc vtec motor.
