Ok i dunno if this has happnd to anyone but plz help me, well my timing belt snapped on my 89 ZC DOHC motor. So i went to autozone and asked for a 1989 acura integra ls timing belt, so they gave me the belt, took it to my skool ware there working on it, and they said its too big. So they gave me the belt back and i compared the snapped belt to the new belt and noticed that the snapped one was smaller, not by all that much though, just enough to be loose. I went back to autozone and compared another belt and they were the same, but the guy at autozone said something about a tensioner or sumthin. But i asked the previous owner and he said that its an integra belt, the factory belt. I dunno who can read the sizes on the old belt but it says honda. If anyone could please post help about this tonite i would apreciate it. I have to take a new belt tomarrow, and there closed on the weekend so plz.

On honda motors you have to put the new belt on then turn it counterclockwise 3 teeth and then tighten the tensioner. If you do not do this then the belt will not tighten correctly and could slip.
