hey just wanted to get a few thoughts on this unfinished piece sorry about the poor quality scan but the piece was bigger than my scanner so theres some discoloration and blotchyness.

Hey, Welcome to the Forum. That's a really good drawing, the colouring looks great. Did you do this freehand?

Kanibal

sure did. It took a few hours just to get the outline.

It was worth the time.

Definently. I think that it looks great. How long did it/is it take(ing)?

its kinda hard to say its been getting done between other pieces I started it almost a year ago but as far as actual working time its been somewhere around 20 hours total time.
Now I have much more time on my hands to finish it but all of my supplies are in storage for at least two more months and all i have here is a pencil set.
So looks like im gonna be doing pencil drawings for a while.

So does that mean you won't be finishing this one for two more months?

Great proportions, great value, great color approach. However, take everything we say with a grain of salt until Chad (bonzelite) replies. Dont take Chad's critiques the wrong way. His trained eye will point out small hidden flaws.

Nice!!! But I noticed a vertical line on the nose of the car. Seems to divide the picture a bit. :eek7:

the vertical line is not actually on the piece.
i had to remove the lid from my scanner and scan it in two parts then piece them back together in paint. I would have removed it with photoshop but i recently had my hard drive wiped clean and dont have it installed. The actual size of the piece is 18" by 24".

I'm gonna play Bonz for a moment. The windshield has a dip that I don't believe should be there, the elipses are a bit off, not much though. The round light/fog light, whatever, is a little bit off. roof scoop back is missing, some shading on Carbon fiber lip/ front hood. Missing. Finally shading on back rim is missing.

Some of these are because it is a work in progress. But, some might be mistakes.

the onlu constructive critique i have for ya is that the center of the front wheel isnt in the center=))

Very good rendering. Like the others said you have some proportions a bit off. Just give everthing a double check before you render! I like the choice of car and angle.

the wheel is still in the early stages but the windshield i hadn't noticed untill now.
as for the scoop its there i just enhanced the reflection on the entire car so it is lighter than in the actual car photo i guess my scanner didn't pic it up.
well heres the pic i was working off of.http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/253381PicFetch.JPG

Oh! I just saw something I might want to point out. Te back wheel has too much/too little (can't remember!) camber. So the bottom is slanting inward a bit, while the top is slanting out, like this : / as apposed to |

I hadn't noticed the camber issue on the back wheel before.
Thanks for spotting it.
